What are neuromodulators?

Anti-wrinkle therapy with neuromodulators is an injection treatment aimed at reducing facial expression lines. It is a complex of purified botulinum neurotoxin which allows to treat the zones effectively. This product is completely safe.

What does neuromodulator treatment consist of

Anti-wrinkle neuromodulator therapy consists of injecting low doses of neuromodulators into certain facial muscles, in order to relax them and thus reduce the furrows and expression lines associated with movement of these muscles. It is more effective on deep expression lines, i.e. those directly associated with facial muscle movements. This treatment can also be used to prevent wrinkles.

Number of sessions

Usually, the treatment is repeated every 4 to 6 months. The number of sessions needed depends on the desired result.

In order to maximize the effect of the product, we recommend that you remain upright for at least 4 hours after the injection and avoid massaging the injected area. It is also recommended to move the injected muscles during this period to increase the absorption of the product by the muscles. You will begin to see the effectiveness of the neuromodulators 7 to 10 days after the injection.
Neuromodulators anti wrinkles therapy has no known permanent side effects. On the other hand, there are temporary effects such as headache, redness of the skin, temporary bruising or numbness in the treated areas. In addition, for reasons still unknown, some patients may be less sensitive to the effects of neuromodulators or may even "completely resist" it.
We do not recommend injections to pregnant or breastfeeding women, to people with health problems. A medical evaluation is done beforehand.
Because neuromodulators anti wrinkles therapy is considered an aesthetic and not medically required treatment, this treatment is not covered by insurance. Each patient must therefore pay the costs at the time of the intervention.
The neuromodulators therapy is a temporary procedure, which means that it must be repeated regularly to ensure its effectiveness. Although the decrease in muscle contractions has an average duration of 3 to 6 months, each person reacts differently.

A follow-up appointment, 2 weeks after treatment, is advised in order to:
